Join a Global Movement for Disability Rights

The United States International Council on Disabilities (USICD) brings together advocates, organizations, and allies committed to advancing the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities in U.S. foreign policy and international development. By becoming a member, you strengthen a powerful, disabled‑led coalition working to ensure that disability rights are central to global human rights efforts.

USICD members receive opportunities to engage in advocacy, shape policy, connect with global partners, and support the next generation of disability leaders.

Membership Levels

Individual Membership – $10 Annually (Ten for 2030 Campaign)

USICD’s Ten for 2030 campaign aims to build a community of 100,000 members by 2030. For just $10 per year, individuals can help strengthen USICD’s ability to advocate, convene, and lead.

Benefits:

  • Active members can apply and vote in the USICD Board of Directors elections.
  • Learn about employment opportunities both within USICD and the broad international development and disability fields (We post opportunities on Facebook too!)
  • Opportunities to participate in advocacy campaigns and global disability initiatives.
  • Receive invitations to webinars, briefings, and community events.
  • Receive invitations to members-only networking events.
  • Discounted ticket pricing when attending the USICD annual fundraising gala to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and other events.
  • Priority access to volunteer and committee opportunities.
  • Supporting a stronger U.S. voice for disability rights worldwide.

Organizational Membership – $400 Annually

Open to nonprofits, universities, disabled-led and disabled-focused organizations seeking to collaborate on U.S. and international disability rights.

Benefits:

  • Organization listing on the USICD website and annual report.
  • Active organizational member leaders can apply and vote (one vote per organization) in the USICD Board of Directors election.
  • Discounted ticket pricing when attending the USICD annual fundraising gala to celebrate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and other events.
  • Opportunities to collaborate on policy statements, advocacy campaigns, and U.S. and international initiatives.
  • Promote your vacant staff positions and other opportunities in USICD’s newsletter.
  • Your organization’s news and upcoming events listed in the Membership Matters newsletter updates.
  • Receive invitations to member roundtables and networking events.

Corporate/Business Membership – $5,000 annually

USICD’s newest membership tier is designed for companies committed to global disability inclusion, accessibility, and corporate social responsibility.
