In March 2026, USICD’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) sent letters to all nominees of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the International Criminal Court (ICC) requesting that nominees respond to a series of questions related to international law, disability, and accessibility. The YAC initiative aims to ensure judicial nominees are considering how they can make these international courts more accessible to Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) and lawyers with disabilities, while upholding international protections established under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
