Georgia disability leaders and veterans join national advocates to call on Senators Isakson and Chambliss to vote for ratification of the "Disability Treaty" (Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, CRPD) when the Senate returns to Washington in November. People with disabilities, including war-disabled veterans, constitute a large but overlooked voting block and will not accept anything less than immediate ratification. Press conference is being held today in the 7th floor auditorium of the Sepherd Center at 2020 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.
