Colleagues, Partners and Stakeholders,

Today the National Union of Disabled Persons of Uganda (NUDIPU) delivered a felicitations letter to our Hon Sam K. Kuteesa, the incoming President of the UN General Assembly.

Hon Kuteesa is the Minister of Foreign Affairs and was recently elected by UN Member States in June 2014 to take over the presidency of the UN General Assembly.

Hon Kuteesa's accomplishments over the time in national development processes in Uganda have been many and varied, most especially in the arena of inclusiveness of all in national development processes and we hope that his experience and knowledge of inclusion of all persons, especially persons with disabilities in national development processes shall transcend to the United Nations during his tenure of office.

We are proud of him and very sure that the 1 billion plus persons with disabilities the world over shall benefit from his experience, most especially during this crucial period when the SDGs are set to be approved by the UN Heads of States meeting in September 2014 in New York.

Please reciprocate our efforts by sending messages of congrats to the office of the Presidency of the GA at the UN Headquarters in New York.

Please share with all disability networks across the globe.

Sincerely,

ps. For those with visual impairments, I have attached the word version of the letter.
